Born in 1956 in Waregem, Belgium,
Jozef Coudijzer grew up in an art family. The joy in drawing he inherited form his father’s side and the musical from his mothers’. He studied successfully at the faculty of science.
To break the daily routine of the chemical industry, he seeked out his old love, the drawing table. His impressions he had from strolls and vacations he drew up in his sketch book. Once back at home he possessed a rich source of maturing inspiration. As true autodidact he went his own way, in the silence of his studio, to express life.
